Shooting of sports

Shooting of Sports
Sports are always done by multiple cameras shooting. Sports are usually done live so the technique has to be precise. Sports may have several cameras but like hockey volleyball basketball football and many others there’s an above shot lined up with the middle so you should be able to see the whole playing field court or ice surface. The other cameras will either be in the corners or at the end. Some sports you are able to get cameras on different spots than you would in other sports like in hockey you can get cameras inside the net or above the net looking straight down. In football you can get cameras in the uprights or in baseball they have one built in on the pitching mound. All these cameras are attached to one switcher that is usually controlled in a high spot in a box so that they can see all the cameras and the whole game allowing them to know what camera to switch to.

Multiple Cameras Shooting Treatment

Multiple Cameras Shooting Treatment
Garage Band
A group of musicians get together once a week to jam and play some of their favorite songs. The lead singer James writes a few songs and after a few small gigs they are noticed. The band experiences what people dream of doing. They are shot through the business as fast as possible opening for bands like velvet revolver. They get an agent who without much experience does well in getting them endorsements and eventually contracts for their first album. With all this happening so fast they get power hungry and each one wants to be the center of attention. The band backstabs each other till they can’t take it anymore and end up breaking up the band. This would be a film that needs multi camera shooting because when trying to do the concert scenes are quite difficult and it would be easier to run more than one camera to get the shots wanted in less time.

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

today i went to a french presentation then came back and worked on the treatment

What Is Multi Camera Shooting?
Multi camera shooting is a way in which you can capture a broadcast, sporting event or live shooting. It allows you to get multiple views of the event. It allows you to view all angles so you can pick and choose to get the shot you are trying to portray. 4 cameras are what is generally used one will be straight on the whole thing the second and third will be on the main characters or the person talking or the main presenters (they are usually close ups). The forth can be a shot of the audience if there is one or something in the environment that may add to the shot. The 4 cameras are controlled by a switcher a board that allows you to go from camera to camera. They can also make transition effects and move other signals like tilters.

Interviews

Interviews are an importatant part of structures of the news show. even as important it is it may be difficult because if one mistake is made it can screw up the whole story. so you must prepare thourouly by planning with the guests your going to interview and plan were your going to do the interview with proper lighting and have the proper equipment ready for the job.
once there with the person you can do the interview properly asking appropriate questions and giving the proper gestures to insignuate and make the point you wish to give. you should know most of the information before the interview is given so you must reasearch ahead of time.
when the interview is videotaped the tape will be added to the news show and may only have pieces taken from it not the whole thing.

Jobs Of Newscasts

the newscasts include several jobs to get a live show to run so long. the list of jobs include directer producer lighting technician, panel editor, makup, anchor co-anchor sports reporter, wether reporter, and other reporters along with the camera men to give a complete crew. the reporters find stories and check with producer to see if its a story worth using or the reporters are assigned stories and will go out and reasearch the stories and either have it videotaped on the spot or report that to the producer for the lead anchor to report live. with the stories in they start with running the music and openning display to go to the reporters who read off of prompters with multiple cameramen and small video editing used to show pictures and headlines of stories. all mix in to create the most watched genre of tv in the world.
